Academic Track
The academic track consists of courses that will make college life easier to adjust to in terms of subject variety and, to a certain degree, difficulty. The academic track is simply the track that prepares students for the most common college courses such as business management, engineering, and the sciences.
Accountancy, Business And Management Strand is designed as an introductory course in accounting and business and management where students are trained to think logically and scientifically and are acquainted with the rudiments of accounting, business and management concepts and principles in order to prepare them to pursue college degrees that focus on business and industry where their contribution as future accountants, entrepreneurs, and business leaders are vital to the progress and development of the economy and critical to the promotion of a sustainable green business.
General Academic Strand is the strand for those students who aim in involving in more general areas of study comparing to more specific fields of study. It is a very versatile within one strand to a lot of different opportunities and challenges. This gives students the more opportunity to explore their views and options and gives them a good mix of subjects so they can make a more informed decision when it comes to choosing an undergraduate degree in the future.
Humanities And Social Sciences Strand covers a wide range of disciplines that delve into the investigation and inquiry of the human conditions that uses empirical, analytical, and critical methods of studying human behavior and societal changes. Students pursuing college degrees on this strand will have a deeper understanding of arts, culture, literature, politics, and society and how the complex interplay of these facets help them appreciate individual behavior and social group and the pressing issues corresponding them.
Science, Technology. Engineering And Mathematics strand will develop the students’ ability to evaluate simple to complex societal problems and be responsive and active in the formulation of its solution through the application and integration of scientific, technological, engineering, and mathematical concepts as it prepares them to pursue college degrees that focuses on the enigma of the natural world thereby leading them to become future scientists, technological analysts and experts, engineers, mathematicians, programmers, and the like.
Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Track
The TVL track does not only guarantee skills but also ensures employment, backed by TESDA certifications: Certificate of Competency (COC) and National Certifications (NC). So, for students who want to get hired right away in the field of agriculture, electronics, or trading. It is designed to provide students with job-ready skills that they will need in the future
Information and communication technology revolutionizes how the different industries and institutions operate. As communication and technological progress reshapes many aspects of the society, it is also a driving force behind economic growth. Thus, this strand will equip the graduates with the necessary skills and competencies fitting for employment as they earned their National Certification II from TESDA. With the strong external linkages and varied industry partners, graduates have high possibility of employability as they will be absorbed by the companies during their On-the-job training.
The growth of the food, fashion, tourism and hospitality industries demand qualified staff to cater to the needs of the clientele. Aside from the core subjects required, students who enroll on this strand have specialized subjects that meet the standard hour requirement and the competency-based assessment of TESDA so as to increase the employability of the graduate.
